Now in my third headship, I have taught in a range of settings from urban to rural, including London, and have led one school to outstanding while our current school is graded good. I still love being in the classroom and maintain a regular teaching commitment in the school. My drivers are creativity, really getting to know the children, developing the whole child and instilling a sense of belonging, commitment and responsibility within the school community.
I also work with schools in West Sussex as a School Improvement Partner helping to identify priorities for school improvement and means to achieve this and advising governors as part of other headteachers’ performance reviews.

I believe I bring an alternative viewpoint and constructive approach to all aspects of my job, and still relish the role day to day. I enjoy helping others approach tasks which may appear daunting.
